Overlay at the top right of all steam games

I keep seeing this display in the top right hand corner of every game that I have. I think it's first appearance was when I started playing Half Minute Hero: Second Coming but now it's on EVERY game. It consists of an x'd microphone, LIVE with a circle next to it, an icon for people and the number 0. I need to get rid of this stupid overlay please.

it's from broadcasting, go to steam settings, choose broadcasting and uncheck "always show live status"

Disable broadcast if you dont intend to broadcast
