Trading bots/hackers
So people keep adding me to friends, and their obviously robots or scammer becuase its allways the same type of account. a private steam profile with some strange pic making it seem legit. they allways send a message saying i want to trade for this card please click this external link to see an image of it. and that external link has a .png or .jpg ending but its just a fake URL leading to virus/trojan website.

this happens every 2-3 days, i have reported all of them to steam but they arent doing anything. they keep sending me links and new accounts keep adding me to their friends list and spamming me.

WTF steam?

Been happening a lot to me aswell. Mainly people or bots trying to hijack my computer/Steam or trying to get my "CS:GO items" - which is stupid since I don't actually have CS:GO or any items relating to it. There isn't really anything that can be done about it aside from taking screenshots or recordings of what they're trying to do, reporting them and then blocking. Doesn't fix the problem though. Realistically though, nothing is going to stop it. People will keep trying to scam you, hack your computer, and make bots.
If you're a member of any popular groups or trading sites (especially ones for CS:GO, Dota 2, or TF2) they can be finding you from there.

Many of those accounts are stolen, and then they use those accounts to steal more accounts, and it just snowballs from there. :summeryeti:
