Game install location dropdown empty
Hi there,

I have an issue where when I go to install a game, I click install and then in the "install location" drop down menu nothing is displayed, I have 4 steam apps folders but none of them show up, yet I can still play and access games from them folders, has anyone else come across this issue?

Go into your Settings>Downloads>Steam Library Folders. Do the drives you want to install to show up?

Yeah every one of them is there and they all the drives have free space so that isn't an issue, the only time they don't appear is when I go to install a game.

That is strange, as I have only ever had that particular problem when steam forgot where my other library folders were located. I did some research and found a few other people with your particular problem but sadly no solutions other than copy+paste workarounds. Even went into the registry to see if they had saved any install paths there, but no dice. Sorry I'm unable to help you.

Nevermind I sorted it, turns out, booting into another version of windows, running the steam client from the other version fixes it.
