Installing a PS3 controller on win8.1 w/ DS3 tool
Hi everyone,
So I was on win7 and I used to play w/ my PS3 controller using DS3 tool and it used to work perfectly. But now I have upgraded to win8.1, and I installed DS3 tool, and plugged my PS3 controller, but when I try to install the drivers from the "Driver Manager" tab (clicking on "install all"), it says:

[INFO:ENTER: DriverPackageInstallW

WARNING:DRIVER_PACKAGE_LEGACY_MODE flag set but not supported on Plug and Play driver on VISTA. Flag will be ignored.

INFO:Looking for Model Section [MotioninJoy.NTamd64.6.0]...

INFO:RETURN: DriverPackageInstallW (0xE0000247)]

And then it stays like that and never continues, so I suppose it doesn't install the drivers. So can someone please help I miss playing w/ my controller.
Thanks for helping.
P.S.: I don't know if I should post this here, so if it's not the right place, tell me and I'll move it. If you need anymore information to help me just ask ^^.

Maybe you should ask the developer of the tool. Or look if they have a support article or FAQ about the issue.

I've looked for this problem on the internet and I didn't find anything matching mine, and I sent a mail for a while now to the developper and he still hasn't answered me so I asked here :(

I had the same problem a few weeks ago and this video helped me:

It's spanish :steak: and i didn't understand most of it, but here's what you have to do:

Open CMD as ADMIN and execute these two commands:

bcdedit -set loadoptions DISABLE_INTEGRITY_CHECKS
bcdedit -set TESTSIGNING ON

Hope this helps you as well! Good luck!

I use that right now and now every game detects my gamepad as a 360 controller and it will use Rumble if possible.

Just google on it for those who want to find it.

hey guys i found the real solution that should work for everyone on windows 8, 8.1

first go to PC settings--> Update and Recovery--> Recovery--> Then click on "restart now" under Advance Startup
after that your computer will restart and come up with some sort of boot menu. From there you want to click "Troubleshoot" then "Advance Options" and then "Startup Settings" then click "restart"
another sort of boot menu will open and will ask you to press numbers for a list of options. Simply press the number 7 on your keyboard and your PC should startup as usual then go to your motioninjoy and install drivers

hope this helped!!

i forgot that you might want to either remember or write down the instructions before clicking "restart now"

i found out that Motionjoy is down for some reason as of 7/4/14 with a 502 bad gateway. so if you change your date on your computer to a date before that it should work. i just did it now and it worked fine. the date i set my computer to is May 1, 2014. once you install the driver you can set your computer back to the original date.
