X360 controller emulator
Dear all,
is it ok to use x360 controller emulator with Steam games? You have to copy some files into the game folder. I wouldn't like to get banned for that.
Thanks for help.

It's fine. You won't get banned for it.

Are you sure? What do you even get banned for? Editing game's files?

Why you need use a emulator? The 360 controller works default on Windows, supporting a extremly wide range of games.

If it doesn't have VAC protection, then there is nothing to worry about.

Sounds like he is trying to emulate a 360 controller using another input device.

You won't get banned for using an Xinput emulator to use Dinput devices on games that need Xinput.

Ah yes, those. Kinda had the feeling that we will end up by one of those cheapo gamepads.
It's a PS3 controller knockoff, probably doesn't supports Xinput at all.

But no, it doesn't gets you banned. Is more that those programs are annoying bloatware. Next time rather save up for a better pad.
