How do I access family view?? I have no "Settings" tab under steam

I think the Family View button is up on the right hand corner of the client. Not in the setings menu.

Under Manage Family Library it says No computer has been authorized and I cant figure out how to do that

What are you trying to do? The Family Library stuff is for Library Sharing.

Does it say Family View is enabled if you view http://store.steampowered.com/account/ ?

If it is: http://store.steampowered.com/parental/set

The only thing that removes the Settings menu is the Family View, I think. You don't need to go to the Settings menu to turn family view on/off.

I never even had family view on and I still don't have settings

they REALLY should put in the instructions that you have to disable family view in order to see settings, i was FURIOUS by the time i found this out.

Well one of the options for family view is to not show the settings menu....

Family view is off by default. The reasoning is that if you enable it and turn off the settings menu, you don't need instructions on how to get it back. Just reverse the steps you already took. Usually when I'm FURIOUS, it's because I'm mad at myself for not thinking (the obvious) things through.

The steps in the Family View KB article should tell you how to get to the "settings." You have to exit Family View...
