Okay, so I'll admit that I'm new to this online game stuff... It's surreal to me that I can just download a game when for 25 years I've been buying a real disc/cartridge/floppy I can hold in my mitts. So when I have random games in my library just sat there, I'd presume... they're free? Steam are mental and give stuff away when they want to be charging 8GPB on the site... or did I just do a boo boo and I'm going to have to check my paypal because I'm a fecking ♥♥♥♥♥♥.

Should I expect free game presents in my library from time to time... or should I never press that pesky download button?

• Then there's Free Week(end) -games (which are free to play only for the time period; and a Buy button appears instead of the Play button once that period ends; to continue playing the game - you will have to buy the game; or have someone Family Share the game to you.)
  
  You will not be charged without your knowledge as you do still have to buy the game like any other to do it (Manual process)
  
  
• Then there's Free Promotions (Pretty rare, but if you acquire the game during the time, you'll get to keep the game (or DLC.) for good

Thank you :) I know about the free stuff and the early access, I often look at them, and I got all the Tomb Raiders when they were a bargain around December... So maybe I have the check this out... Sting... pay for it monday deal... Or here pretty lady have a free game... lmfao If only :)

There's a Free Weekend on Europa Universalis IV right now, perhaps you're talking about that?

It's free for only to play this weekend. Once the weekend ends (Sunday 1 PM PST); you'll have to either

b) Have a friend Family Share it to you

c) Wait for the next time it's on Free week(end)

d) Uninstall and forget about the game after the weekend ends.

Yeah its that :) I'm just on it now. I think it's not my cup of tea... I've not really played a game like this before. I've tried it though, it's a bit too much to take in, so much information. I could probably play something like this, but maybe not as in depth. It seems like there's so much faff to get troops to go to where I want to get them... But thank you for looing for me :)
