Regaining access to your account without a proof of ownership
How can I retrieve/reset my password if I I have lost the ability to access the email associated with my account and don't have a CD key for any previously purchased product nor a verification code?

I think it's worth mentioning that I can't prove it's mine, either, as I've never used a credit card nor have I used a CD key. I only have one game on this account (CS: GO), which was gifted to me.

Apparently, the email associated with it doesn't exist anymore either, as I haven't used it for years now (thanks, Yahoo), so I can't rest the password via email. The last time I used my Steam account was in 2013, if I'm not mistaken.

Maybe if you had the email your got when you got the gift. I would keep trying to get that email account back. How did it get deleted if it was in use as recently as 2013?

Also if you where valve, how would they know it was you?

Without any proof you do not get access to that account, if that was possible, lots of account could and probably would get stolen.
I don't have the proofs THEY required. I got my friends' testemony and a unified username and a real name across all my accounts on FB, Twitter, Hotmail, Gmail, XBL and many other sites.

i highly doubt that will be enough since none of these services you mentioned have any connection with Steam in any shape or form

Last time I used my steam account was 2013. Last time I used my associated Yahoo mail was.. probably 2011

It's the proof 'they' need that counts, why should they belive in random people telling them you are the owner.
They shouldn't, I guess.

Did you try to talk to yahoo, would it be possible to get your email account activated again?
I didn't bother, honestly. They probably won't care.

Create another new email to gain access to your old email and provide them with all details needed. and then you should be able to find the email from steam you got when your friend gifted the game to you give this info to steam support (Confirmation Number)

ps. but this may not be needed now that you already have recovered your lost email

I didn't recover that email and I can't either. The email I used to activate my lost email when I first created it doesn't exist anymore, too (again, thanks Yahoo).

It's basically a huge mess.

This is the only solution you might have and you didn't even try asking them? If you want the account back you should make an effort.

Well, here the problem: I don't remember how to spell my email adress, so I can't request it. And Steam soesn't allow me to see the email associated to my account.

Didn't I tell you it's a mess?
