Can't access my account until January 19, 2038?!?
So someone sent a link and asked for a trade on my account theultimatesteve, but that link was Trojan and it logged me out of Steam. I then could not log back in so I uninstalled and then re-installed Steam but then it said I have to wait until January 19, 2038 for account access??. Does anyone have any idea of how to unlock my account? Thanks

Do you know how long it would take for them to reply? I sent a message probably over 12 hours ago

Support is a que system; it can take; hours, days, weeks.
Please be patient. Do not re-submit a ticket update for this issue until u hear back from Steam Support. As that could lengthen this process further.

Okay thanks for that
Maybe steam thinks it will take you 23 years to learn about internet security so you don't click links from strangers.

But you should contact support reguarding this matter.

I have already and it was an imgur instant-download, can't help that
2038? Uhh.... Have you been banned or something? Heh
I believe the message display is messed up and occasionally shows 32600+ days waiting time instead of the normal 5 or 7 day messages. I saw another user post this with a detailed error message just yesterday.

The only thing is it has been 8 days, do you know why this is?

The thing is, Steam uses a "que" system; meaning that whenever someone opens up a ticket, they enter the bottom of the que. They "get in line", so to speak. However long it is seems to vary; it can be as quick as a few hours to as long as a month or more. It all varies from person to person. If you've already submitted a ticket, then the only thing you can do now is to wait. However, like Bad-Mutha said, re-submitting a ticket is not reccomended, because it will force you to wait even longer. Think of re-submitting a ticket as leaving the "line", then returning and ending up in the back once again.

As for the message saying you need to wait until 2038 to access your account, that's probably just a glitch with the text. Other people have reported experiencing similar issues.
