I got my account temporarily suspended because of chargeback.
Hello there. I logged into my Steam account today and a windows popped up telling me that my bank made a chargeback on my account and I have to pay 10 euro (wallet credit). Ok, 10 euro isn't that much and I wanted to repay the sum that I owned to Steam so I can fully use my account. Everything ok until here, but when I got into the "add Credit Card" screen it said that "An error was encountered while processing your request: Purchasing has been disabled for your account.". So my question is, how can I pay the 10 euro to Steam so that I can have my account up and running again?

You'll have to tell your bank to cancel the dispute.

Then contact Steam Support.
  1. Register a Steam Support account here
  2. Create a Steam Support -ticket here

Call your bank and make them reverse the chargeback. After you've done that, contact Steam support here: http://support.steampowered.com/

I've already contacted the Steam Support like three times and got no answer yet. It was like a week ago. I am still waiting tho and hope for the best to happen. The thing that I don't understand is that they are telling me to pay the 10Euro but there is no way that I can do that. Still, I forgot to mention that my account has restricted functionality for 9 weeks (8 more to go), so it is not actually a "suspend" but the things that I've bought are now unavailable and if I want to have them again I have to pay the full sum which is not good (I got them at Sale).

You only need 1 ticket then wait. It will take several more days for a reply.

Damn.. still no luck. I made another ticket and there is no one that will help me. Seems like I have to wait 'till April to get my account unsuspended.

Steam will not unsuspend your account until you reverse the chargeback. Your bank has to reverse the chargeback

Stop making tickets, they only get merged and put back at the end of the waiting line.

♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ :| I went to the bank and there is no way that they can send back the money 'till I get in touch with a Steam employee. So my only hope is to wait.

If your bank doesn't want to revert the chargeback, than you're essentially doomed.

i feel like you are having problems reading. Everyone who responded said you need to fix this THROUGH YOUR BANK. /NOT/ by making "more tickets".

A moderator even told you that you only need to make one ticket, yet you come here to say you've started yet-another new one. Starting more tickets can /slow down/ not only your own Support response time but the response time for everyone else. It can take 2 or more weeks to get a response from Steam Support. Be patient.

Next. Contact your BANK or Credit Card Company.

If you used your mom or dad's credit card or debit card you will need to ask THEM to contact their bank. If you used someone else's card you will have to ask them to contact their bank or credit card company.

You cannot pay Steam the $10 euro by adding random Steam Funds to your Steam Wallet. You MUST have your credit card company or bank "stop disputing" the charge that was disputed and pay Steam back /that/ way.

Support will /also/ tell you this when they finally respond to you.

That sounds absurd.

What information does your bank supposedly want from a "Steam Employee"?

All the information they need to "cancel the chargeback" your bank or credit card company should be able to get from you and you alone. Of course you will need enough money in your bank account so your bank can pay Steam properly...

Not sure what kind of bank you frequent but that's patently false. Chargebacks are issued and controlled by the financial instutuation. The store has no control over it. If they did, stores would just 'reject' all chargebacks.

Only Paypal won't re-open closed disputes.

Also why ddi you do the chargeback in teh first place

I didn't do any chargeback. I charged my wallet with 10 euros and bought some games, that was in November or so. At that time I was too lazy to go to the bank and charge my account with 10 euro so I asked my mom to pay through her card the 10 euro. Now I remember that her card was due to expire in the next day and the paymanet might have not got through the check in at the bank or so. Idk.. I am just supposing. In my Steam Alert it says that: "Content purchased with these wallet funds has been removed from your account.
This account will have restricted functionality for 9 weeks." So I am not that doomed as it seems, I just have to wait. But this thing is crazy.. why I cannot pay from another card? Money is moeny after all.

Because your account is under heavy suspicion of being used for frauds. Chargebacks are a typical sign of fraud.

That's why I really want to speak with a Steam employee so that I can clarify stuff..
