Steam Servers Are Too Busy to Handle Your Request (Total War: Attila)
Hello,

I purchased Total War: Attila yesterday and I have installed it onto my computer using the latest version of Steam. However, when I click "Play" I receive an error message that says:

"The Steam servers are too busy to handle your request for Total War: ATTILA. Error Code (41)".

I have tried reinstalling both Total War: Attila and Steam, but neither has worked. I also deactivated my anti-virus software, but that did not work either.

If there isn't a quick solution to this issue, then I'm going to ask for a refund, which is sad because I really was looking forward to this game. I also tried contacting steam support, but an error message pops up when I submit a question lol.

Any help is much appreciated!

How long has this been going on for? Often when a new game comes out, people get this error for the first few hours, sometimes a day or two. It should clear up fairly quickly as more servers are allocated and demand levels out.

I downloaded the game yesterday afternoon and it has happened since then. I haven't been able to even launch the game, since all that happens is the error message.

I should also add that it prompts me that it is completing installation, stops at 1%, and then prompts me with the error message. I'm hoping this is temporary and a result of server space issues and not an issue on my end, since other games have worked fine up until now.

SOLVED IT!!!

I had just installed the latest driver from NVIDIA on my computer before downloading this game. I went ahead and rolled back the driver to the last one I had and it works now. Google "how to roll back your NVIDIA drivers" if you're unsure how to do it.

Strange! Which driver version were you using, and which are you using now? Just to help future users.

I can't remember the latest one's actual number (02/05/15 is release date, I believe), but the driver that works is 9.18.13.4475 released on 11/12/14. I have an NVIDIA GTX 760

I've the same problem - and additionally, when a tried to restore game cash the Steam reported that a few files are damaged and will be redownload (but they will not). So what to do with that erro I do know... Now Steam supplies my by patch, it downloads - may be will help I hope.

Update: no miracle - the game does not start and will not start
