Cheat Engine to speed up downloads

But if I just use Cheat Engine to speed up downloads from Steam, there is the danger that my account may be blocked?

Why don't you just manually do what this cheat engine does and set up steam settings?

Go on steam - settings - downloads:
- pick the download region close to you
- set the download speed to the max or choose your max traffic speed (provider issue)

i dont think u can change anything in steam client using cheat engine
i dont know about other games, but just dont use it in VAC server, u might get VAC banned

And how does this have any effect on your actual connection? Just because you force it to display a faster download speed doesn't mean it's actually downloading faster.
