Steam now supports Japanese currency (Yen), this is the link:
http://store.steampowered.com/yen
It supports Konbini as one of the payment methods too:
i am just here in japan i can only speak a little japanese.. is there something that i need to show the casheir or anything?
If you moved to japan, then steam will reject the payment because your payment method doesn't match the region it's being used in.
If ou're using a payment method from you original country, you can ask steam to enable your account to use the ?cc=XX model to buy games from your 'home' country. Otehrwise you can try to use Kombini to fill it instead. Steam might allow you ot use the Japan store, but you'd have tprove you live here. NOte that Japan has a bizaro land craziness that delays games there by several months. You might be better off using your original payment country if possible (depending where that is)
I'll look into seeing if I can get the account switched to buy it from my 'home country' with another method.
Hadn't heard of the delays, so definitely think I'll stick to konbini for now, even though I live in the countryside pretty far away from the approved ones. Thanks again!
U can follow as what the guy above told, and if u cannot speak Japanese yet, u can like just show the cashier the email steam sent to ur email.
By the time you get back to your pc. You should have received confirmation email from steam
