I've recently lost a Steam Wallet Code..
Hey, I wasn't sure where to put this, but I recently bought a $20 Steam Wallet card and the code was in the receipt, but I recently lost the receipt and I was wondering if I could get a new code, if possible.

If you threw the receipt out you're pretty much out of luck. No one here can help you, neither can Steam Support. I don't think the retailer would be willing to give you a new code, either.

Would be too easy to lie like that... You could or could not be legit, so Steam needs a proof in order to help you.

Well, crap. Thanks, though.

How would I do that?

Well if you brought it from Steam, you need a reciept from Steam... If you bought it from a store, you need the reciept from the store... It's just a proof that you bought it, they need that.

That's kinda the point. I bought it from a store, but I lost the receipt. I only have the card, which doesn't have the code. (Forgot to mention I'm in Australia)

What's the point of the card if it doesn't have a code on it?

well the local stores normally keep a history so if u can remember at what time u were at the store and if u bought it with a credit card they might be able to find your reciept and reprint it, it is a long shot but it might be worth it ;)

The card shouldn't leave the store, it's basically a 'I want to buy this item' so they have a physical thing to take to the till.

Around here have a code that is hidden on a card, and has to be activated. You scratch the code off and use it after you get home. Gamestop used to print them on receipt, but now they just activate the cards and let me use them.
