Corsair K70 Keyboard problems with multimedia keys and Steam Music

So I've had my Corsair Vengence K70 for about a year now, and I have loved every minute of it; that is until Steam Music arrived. I primarily use iTunes for my library hosting for all my music, and there are a pause, fast-forward, rewind, ect. keys on my keyboard that work beautifully with iTunes. Steam music interrupts all feed from them and pulls it to itself so instead of listening to whatever i planned I get random soundtracks. It's really annoying and I hate having to alt-tab from my game in order to change the song. Is there a way to disable steam music without disabling steam itself? (My keyboard has no software suite so don't bother asking about that)

tl;dr How do I completely disable steam music and if I can't please make it so I can Valve.
