Skyrim Legendary Edition Not Playing at all
I purchased Skyrim: Legendary Edition today off of the Steam website and downloaded it. Once downloaded it will not launch from The skyrim launcher, Steam, or Nexus Mod Manager. According to all of my ways to track my files I have Skyrim.Esm and Updates.Esm. This is very frustrating can anyone please help with this issue?

Skyrim forums may help, it also may help if you list your specs :conwayshrug:

A description of what happens when you try to launch through any of them would be helpful..

absolutely nothing happens I click play the icon next to my pointer appears as if it is trying to load and then nothing happens at all and I don't really know my specs I'm not copletely computer literate I've ran skyri on this computer before though with no problems and running several mods. I just have no clue why the game won't even launch. I've been all over the forums and found nothing that really helped me, that's what led me to post this discussion. thank you for the feedback

as asked in the first response to your inquiry, post your system specifications.

Without any specs we're pretty much unable to help. For all we know your PC just may not be able to run it.

Silicon Vampire Sep 23, 2014 @ 1:57pm

It should run it on low, verify your game cache and see if that fixes it (also if you installed mods it can cause issues especially if you lack their requirements)

i verified my game cache twice now and i'm not running any ods at all right now I'll try running it on low but are there any other suggestions if it still doesn't work with the verification of the game cache?

Are any mods installed on it though? Even if it's not checked some can cause SERIOUS issues (and some don't even get checked if they replace certain files) you can always go for a clean install without being synced to the steam cloud.

no mods are installed whatsoever, there aren't even any saved in nexus mod manager currently. and how do I go about doing a clean install?

Remove it, and disable steam cloud. Because if you've ever played it before with mods (which I assume you have in the past due to having NMM) then steam cloud may have them saved and download them for you.

I'll try that and see if it solves my issue thanks for the help
