How to turn Steam Discovery off? pretty please.
Hey.

For those unaware, as of today (right now) the steam front store page has changed into a personal "experience" to only show you games that steam believes is something you want.
I recommend you go check it out if you don't know about this, just click "Store" and you should see it.

Everything is suggests is nothing I want, the steam catalog is waayy too small still for any of this "smart" business.
This thing may work on a esrvice such as Netflix, because they have a ton of series and movies. However this "game service" lack way too many games to be anything like that, and therefore it's also horribly inaccurate because there is not a broad selection enough to choose from.

Giving the greenlight to every scrub game you can find, and opening the flood gates for everyone to get "their" game on steam is not making the quality of steam any better.

Believe it or not, I actually enjoyed looking at the "Top Sales" and see which of all games that did the best. Now it's utterly broken for me, I can now only see which out of the "recommended games" sold the best, which is not what I wanted.

I have to sit and dislike everything game you now recommended to me, I am content with what I got, and I prefered the old version of the store page.

At least give me an option to turn this "Steam Discovery" nonesense off.

Yes please, and the recommendations. Please let me turn off the recommendations! I really hate being recommended a game through what other games I have viewed. Especially when it starts recommending games that I do not enjoy at all. This client is becoming so cluttered and full of stuff, I really wish I could play the majority of my games without steam running at all. Its why I prefer GOG. Their client is optional atleast.
I know, this "new" way of shopping is bogus. I'm getting GOG.

Yes I don't want discovery or curators on my front page.

I wish I could get rid of all this new stuff as well. This is not progress towards a more friendly and usable user interface, this is clutter and forcefed opinions on what they say you should like, as if they know what you want better than you do.

I agree with everything said before this and I hate the new color scheme. Gamers are usually in the dark, that is why the black does well. This blue is way too obtrusive.

This discovery option is ridiculous. If the intention was to help me find games I may potentially want, it isn't working, since I can't select which genres i like, and want to receive suggestions for.
The result: I have absolutely no interest, and despise the so-called "free to play" titles, and pretty much everything that shows up on my discovery cue is a free to play title.

I was fine when they added Big Picture Mode because it was optional. This Discovery mode angers, saddens, and alienates me. It does everything that I used Steam to avoid.
