Microphone not working - Steam & Games

So I have the Cyborg F.R.E.Q 7 headset which has a USB connector.

Firstly - When playing CSGO no one can hear me even though my speech icon appears when holding down the push to talk button in the bottom left hand corner. Ill just add in here that my microphone works perfectly fine in team speak and when testing in the windows control panel.

Secondly - Most people who have this problem can hear their selves when testing their microphone in the steam settings tab. [Steam>View>Settings>Voice>Test Microphone]
When I click the 'Test Microphone' button I get no feedback what so ever. It doesn't even show that I am speaking into the microphone on the boost bar [The Green/Orange/Red thing]. (Yes I have set the push to talk button and I am pressing and holding the correct key.. Also I have tried changing the settings to 'Automatically transmit my voice whenever I speak')
However I know that steam recognises my microphone, because in the same tab where you test you microphone, at the top under the title 'Recording (audio input) device' it has the name of my microphone which says 'Headset Microphone (Cyborg F.R.E.Q 7).

Lastly - I have tired changing my microphone connection to all the different USB slots, including the one on my key board and I have tried disabling 'Realtek HD Audio Manager' to see if that would have an effect, but I am still having the same problem.

Anyone able to help with this?

HOLY ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ DUDE :D Been having this problem for 2 days now, didn't now that it had to do anything with the nvidia share/shadowplay... one comment though, you don't have to uninstall, you can just turn share off and that'll do the trick ;)

How did you turn it off?

I can't believe it was GeForce Share doing this..
I like to use it (ShadowPlay), I'll see if you can reinstall it afterwards or change an option to fix it and update you guys.

Wow, I can't believe disabling share fixed this problem! Thanks! I just hope that an update will come out so I can turn Share back on as I like being able to record gameplay whenever I like. Seriously, thanks again!

+1 saved a life, worked like a charm

-I had my mic correctly set up and while other programs such as skype could use and listen to it steam voice could not. In game using steam voice I wouldnt be able to transmit at all. Turns out Geforce ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ share was blocking steams access to the microphone.

Many thanks for pointing me to the right direction. This is why I never like Windows. I disabled exclusive mode but Geforce Experience was somehow still overriding that because according to MS my computer belongs to apps, not me.

+++++Definitely try this if the basic stuff just doesn't work. Took me a week before I found this post and I'm glad i finally did! Thank you! +++++ NOTE just needs to be disabled not uninstalled.

UPDATE !!!!

looks like NVidia figured it out....
here is the release notes for the newest patch... I stared the relevant fix for this issue

just doing the update fixed the issue for me... I had the exact issue and was looking it up then I went to disable the share in NVidia and it updated...
