If the purchase does not show up in https://store.steampowered.com/account/ as being successful, and you did not receive a confirmation email then the purchase did not go through.

If that is the case, your card issuer has likely placed a temporary hold on your funds and depending on their policies the money should show back up on your card in anywhere from 1-5 business days.

@HLCinSC,
A paysafecard is a "Card" where there can be 10 - 200 Dollars on it. You can buy them at local gas stations, for the amount of cash, that they have charged on them. So for example, when you buy a $ 50 card, you will need to pay $ 50.
So either the paysafe card is expierd (Wich i actually dont think),
or Steam had problems with the billing.

Yes I realize it is a prepaid debit card. My response was basically a what happens if Steam could not process the payment.

I do not suggest using pre-paid debit cards. In addition to being a ripoff (fees, lack of protections/support, no rewards) they also have trouble on some internet sites like Steam. Due to the high amount of attempted credit card fraud on Steam, they take a couple extra measures to verify the billing name and info that you submit is the same that the card issuer has on file. Since prepaid cards don't have that info by default purchases can often fail. Most card companies will allow you to contact the number on the back of the card for you to attach your billing info to the card.

In all honesty, your best bet would really be to just go to a local store and use the prepaid card to buy a Steam gift card if that is an option for you.

If you need to use one of those cards your best bet is to pre-verify it so you know if the card will work or not. you can read more about that here: http://steamcommunity.com/groups/community_market#announcements/detail/1262446774497304587

Sadly, in alot of countrys for example Belgium (where I live) steam cards do not exist.
So if you're under the age of 18 prepaid cards are your only possibility :/

Oh! Forgot to say. I always use Prepaid cards, and they always worked fine for me. Even in the sales. Alot of people are having trouble to put credit on their account because the servers of the companys are overheated. But I never have trouble with my card.

Only problem is when you use these cards on f2p games, where you can buy funds.
Alot of times there are things like 100 000 Funds for $29,99.
And then you just have $20,01 sitting on your ($50) card.
And then you buy another 70 000 fund for $16,99
and you have $ 3,02 just waiting. But you cant do much with that. So ye, at the end you will always have around 3 cents left on your card. So you were never able to use the full amout of the card :/

EDIT: But! you can acualy use multiple codes when you pay something, basicly:
You could have 5 Card, all with $1 on them. and so you can combine them, and have $5.

But I guess that doesn't really interrest you :,c

Reloadable ones are usually a lot better than non-reloadable cards. Everything can vary depending on everything from country to card issuer. My remarks are more based on U,S. non reloadable cards such as most Visa cards.
I was just trying to provide him/her with the info i know as their post was a bit hard to understand and no onewas helping after it had sat for 4 hours.

Ha no worries. you have more experience with paysafe cards (which i have none of) so the more info we can give the more likely we are to help the OP with their problem.
