Bastion Save Lost!

I updated my game and all the saves were lost! I lost my New Game+ and I really don't want to start over. I spent a few hours reading and it turns out that it happened to other people too. I went into C:\Users\Renqiu\Saved Games\Bastion and I found my profiles, with the new game plus. I renamed Profile1_newGamePlus.sav to Profile1.sav and retryied it but nothing happend. After, I moved the saves to another file and started a new profile and played a bit, then I went back to the saves but there were no new saves, however, the game is still saved. Can someone tell me how to fix this?
(I got the game from the devs and not steam but I don't really know where else to get help)
