Steam -> Real Money
So I've spent quite a lot of money on CS:GO, thinking that when I was done with the game I could sell skins back to the market. Now I realize that the money goes into your steam wallet, not back into your actual bank account. So this basically mean we are stuck in Steam's grasps forever, right? Thats damn stupid, I'd enjoy getting actual money back.

You're not going to get your money back. You can use the Steam wallet funds to purchase games on Steam.

It's store credit, Steam isn't a bank. Valve already received their payment when the wallet funds were originally added. The "money" doesn't belong to you, it belongs to Valve.

Yeah, but Steam wouldn't. They like to keep their money.

More like, they want to keep criminals from using the system to launder money.

There would be all kinds of banking and gambling regulations to hurdle through. Plus why would they want to return funds?
RIPERINO we are all slaves in Steam's everlasting merry-go-round of money, gonna spread the word to all my friends and warn them

Every other major PC platform has the same [ractices so don't forget to warn them about those too.

Warn them about what? None of this information is "hidden."

"C. Steam Wallet

Steam may make available an account balance associated with your Account (the “Steam Wallet”). Within any twenty-four (24) hour period, the total amount stored in your Steam Wallet plus the total amount spent out of your Steam Wallet, in the aggregate, may not exceed $2,000 US or its equivalent in your applicable local currency -- attempted deposits into your Steam Wallet that exceed this threshold may not be credited to your Steam Wallet until your activity falls below this threshold. We may change or impose different Steam Wallet balance and usage limits from time to time.

You may use Steam Wallet funds to purchase Subscriptions, including by making in-game purchases where Steam Wallet transactions are enabled. Funds added to the Steam Wallet are non-refundable and non-transferable. Steam Wallet funds do not constitute a personal property right, have no value outside Steam and can only be used to purchase Subscriptions and related content via Steam (including but not limited to games and other applications offered through the Steam Store, or in a Steam Subscription Marketplace). Steam Wallet funds have no cash value and are not exchangeable for cash. Steam Wallet funds that are deemed unclaimed property may be turned over to the applicable authority."

You literally said you agreed to this when you registered for the service.

Am I a slave to Best Buy because I can't take my partially-spent gift card back to the store and exchange it for the remaining amount in cash?
