Free license Counter-Strike 1.6...?
I recieved an email that says I won a free license for cs 1.6. It seems a bit suspicious. This is the content of the email: " STEAM

Dear player,

During the summer, the team decided to provide 100,000 licenses to Counter Strike 1.6 Steam
You were one of the 100,000.
Use this program from activate licenses: Use licenses <-link
The Steam Support Team
http://www.steampowered.com


This notification has been sent to the email address associated with your Steam account.
For information on Valve's privacy policy, visit http://www.valvesoftware.com/privacy.htm.
This email message was auto-generated. Please do not respond.

where does the link point "Use Licenses"? That does NOT sound like anything i would trust. every thing else there seems correct but I wouldn't trust the link that supposedly gets you a "free" game...

1.) If it's not on the official site/in the client it's probably a scam.

2.) If it seems too good to be true and/or use broken English it's a scam.

from what ive experianced before, if a link dosent take you to steam its probably dns spoofing, some people use these when using keyloggers to get passwords etc

A link in an email can look like anything. Thats why you never trust links in emails.
Same for sender address..... or even recipient address....

Dont trust emails.
