Community Market Restrictions
Well, i just recently bought a Steam Wallet Code from a game store and I already redeemed it on my account but when i am trying to purchase items on the community market it says that i am restricted. It is my first time using the community market. I have read the restrictions and i just want to clear some things.

The restrictions of steam:
1. Account must have a successful purchase older than thirty days, but not older than a year.
2. Account must have had Steam Guard enabled for 15 days.
3. If you have had your password reset by Steam Support you will need to wait another 15 days with Steam Guard enabled before you can list items on the Community Market.
4. If a chargeback has occurred on your account you will be eligible 30 days after your next successful purchase.
5. If a password is reset on an active account, the market will be restricted for 5 days. If an account has not been active within the past two months, this restriction will last for 30 days. this does not affect password changes, only password resets.
6. Adding a new purchase method to an account will trigger a market restriction for 7 days.

So my questions are:
For number 1, does free games like Dota 2 and Unturned considered a purchase? Because i haven't purchased anything on steam yet.
For number 6, it is my first time adding funds on my account so is it considered a new purchase method? Is this the reason why i am restricted? Thanks

Question #1
A: The answer is no. Free games are not something that you purchase. They're already defaulted that you own them.

Question #6:
A: That would be a new purchase method because you're purchasing from a new payment method. (i.e. A credit card)

The reason why you're restricted is you have not provided any valid proof of who you are on Steam. Steam is very strict on fraudulent activity. That is why there are systems such as this enforced on Steam. Without these systems, the community would be a mess.

That's not the way I understand it. The key is point 1:

1. Account must have a successful purchase older than thirty days, but not older than a year.

A Steam Wallet code counts as a purchase so, as it's the OP's first purchase, there's a 30 day restriction in place.

He never had mentioned him purchasing in-game content in those games. He only had mentioned "purchasing" them.

Here's the full quote from the FAQ:

Your account must have a successful purchase older than thirty days, but not older than a year in order to access the Marketplace. The purchase of wallet funds qualifies for this requirement. Retail CD key activations do not satisfy this requirement.

If I've understood that right then the OP is currently in the 30 day restriction.

He never had stated in his post that he was purchasing Steam funds. He was implying on actually buying the game that is free, like I had previously stated in my post.

If he plans on purchasing content in these games via Steam funds, then you're right on the money. If you take a glance at what the user wrote last on their post, it's quite clear that he's not discussing purchasing in-game items on those games. (Specifically in their question about point number 1)

Actually, he did state exactly that... in the very first line:

"Well, i just recently bought a Steam Wallet Code from a game store and I already redeemed it on my account..."

Unless I'm mistaken, that's a purchase right there. Perhaps a Mod could give a definitive answer?

Wow thank you guys for your responds.

To explain myself easier:
Wallet Codes = Bought from a game store awhile ago.
10$ = My current account fund.
Dota 2 & Unturned = Only games in account.
Community Market = Where i plan to purchase dota 2 items.
Experience = First time.
