Is AVG Causing Problems When Downloading Games?
So today i got tired of not being able to do anything while downloading games so i decided to investigate why AVG uses all CPU when installing games
And it seems that AVG Online Shield uses a huge amount of CPU while installing so i went into AVG control panal and messed around with the settings and it turns out when link scanner is on when downloading games it uses 60% CPU for me! and when i turned it off it stopped using any CPU so if you have AVG and you cant do anything when downloading games dont uninstall just turn off linkscanner

AVG is notorious for having problems when it comes to steam and also just general computing.

Well ever since i disabled link scanning i have not had a single problem. infact that was the only problem i had
