Steam Guard
I'm I the only one who hates Steam Guard. I like it for the most part, but the trade bans that can't be lifted by the user is complete bs. I've been banned 5 times(well over a month) this year alone from Steam Guard saying "You have logged in from a new device". I fine with that, but considering the fact that you can't lift it is making me crazy. I have tons of electronic devices that I want to play TF2 or trade on, but everytime I do this I can't trade for a WEEK. One time this happened to me and I wasn't mad, so I served out the ban got back on and confirmed my e-mail. Guess what!? Banned again for logging onto the same device! I got fustrated, but not mad. But after a few more times of this happening(bans from me logging into Steam) I lost it. Why isn't there a sytem that can confirm your I.D.? I don't know if this is only happening to me, but this is REALLY FRUSTRATING. All I want to do is trade and use the community market. I miss Steam before this security was implemented. The only reason I don't like Steam Gaurd is because not even Vavle can remove the ban(supposedly). The only other solution to my problem is if it was possible to disable Steam Gaurd, so I can trade from any device I want to without being unable to trade(already tried that and it didn't work out too well). Then after I'm done I could renable Steam Gaurd and go about my day. The thing is if you disable Steam Gaurd you can't trade. Then if you decide to renble Steam Gaurd you get banned for 15 days(it's reasonable). Now that I'm done with my rant I would like to hear your thoughts on Steam Guard in general.

P.S. I know I spelled Guard(and maybe a few other words wrong)

The 7 day cool down for a device only affects that particular method of accessing steam. You can continue to trade on any previously authorized devices (Browsers or Clients).

Here is a list of the restrictions and their triggers so you can avoid them in the future: https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=1047-edfm-2932

stop deleting cookies and junk. So long as you don't do that, nor do you disable it, you can trade as long as you want *hasn't had to stop trading like that for over a year*

I am using an authorized device as I was trading on it 2 days ago

I might try to use another authorized device and see if it works on another(last time it didn't)

Then something you are using (i.e. security/privacy/optimization programs) is messing with Steam's files or your browsers cookies. You could always backup your steamguard files and cookies from a fully authorized device and copy them to the appropriate locations on the unauthorized device.

The whole point of it is that you can't lift it, so don't expect that to change.

Used an authorized device(confirmed) and I couldn't trade even though it says you can trade on authorized devices on the Steam Guard triggers *Face palm*

Are you sure you aren't still waiting out the deactivating and reactivating Steam Guard restriction? That one is an account wide restriction and not limited to the device it was toggled Off and On with.

I'll try another device later

Logged into my main Authorized Device(which is has been for over a year) and it still won't let me trade.
