Help with steam os
i recentley converted my windows 8 laptop to steam os and want to convert it back to windows 8 i dont have an install disk and it wont let me boot from a cd/dvd

You need the windows disk. You can download and make your own disk if you have a valid key.

Yes, about the not booting from the CD/DVD disk drive. Make a Microknoppix Flash Boot USB and you can recover out of the Hardware not functional issue. Do not install Microknoppix on any computer system, Boot it from the USB Stick, F12 for boot menu at startup.
You should have used VirtualBox for the Steam OS install as its stiil in testing, last time looked.

If you have no Windows disk whatsoever, go ask a friend to download Windows in his PC.
