your argument is "I never looked at it before now, so therefore I'm right" that's why I asked.

dont put words in my mouth plz, just qoute the post or get out plz, cuz that never got said.... i dunno, perhaps you had too much hookah...

if you have nothing else constructive to say beside getting into symantics, plz keep out
So, even though I've stated more than once, that it's supposed to be using that much, and you have no reason why it shouldn't, I should leave? Is this thread made just for people to agree with you? I still say read this http://store.steampowered.com/about/

you completely ignored this!
the fact are that steam web helper brings up a loading icon sometime on steam when you click friend chat or steam store
(this has never happened before steam web helper got introduced)
it has happened, I'm not ignoring this. Nothing has changed other than the browser being optimized, take off your little tin hat, and stop being so paranoid about steam itself. If it's having so many problems, maybe you should go check the other websites you're browsing to see if you got any malware along the way.
edit: and the minimum requirements for it are important, if it claims it will run a certain amount of memory, and does so, it's not a problem.

reported for what? I have not trolled anyone, I have stated facts. And I just follow the web helper discussions, have I gone to any other discussions you've been in?

You can't report someone for bringing facts to a discussion.

so what?... you're not even gonna try and bring up a decent argument for why it shouldn't be using the minimum required memory? Just insults?

This thread is now beyond redemption.

I've personally tested the new Client on over a dozen machine, from a Celeron 1.4GHz/512MB/XPSP3 to some monster rigs.... I have yet to see anything close to what you are describing.

The very most I have seen used was 160MB w/6 Webhelpers when I had several client browser windows open. It normally idles at less than 80MB
