Help with Skyrim-Key
Hey guys,

I bought Skyrim Legendary Edition, or better said the whole Antology, now I wanted to install the game, and Steam is asking me for a key, but there isn't any key on the package or manual, there isn't even a manual.

Any help? :(

It wasn't an 'used' copy, right?

Second hand market isn't the best idea with PC games in general, due to CD-keys.

I don't think that Media Markt is a second Hand market. It's the biggest electronic market in Germany.

Either way, with a retail version of Skyrim, you will need a CD-key to use Steam with it. There are no non-Steam versions of Skyrim.

Contact the re-seller.

Is there a 'readme' file on the cd that might have the key? Or a manual on the cd that might have it? If not, I think there's no option but to contact the seller. Good luck.

Shouldn't be, retail games have a physical CD-key.

I've had games in the past (perhaps only one) that have had the cd key in a text file on the cd. I can imagine that it is worthwhile doing this with bargain games that have been around for a while (like Skyrim) to save money on packaging. That's not gospel but it is worth the OP having a rummage around on the cd.

That would mean that EVERY single cd has an individual pressing made as the contents are different on each disk. They only way that would work is if the key is the same for all users.

The skyrim keys are all contained on printed matter. In the anthology you would only have a Skyrim key as that is the only one that can be activated on steam, there should be a black pull out slip on the right side when fully opened that on the back has the key.

Just occurred that I'm probably thinking back to the days when I could get my hands on review and pre-release games. Fingers crossed that KARR has hit the nail.
