Can't find 1440x900 (my default screen resolution) in Control Panel after uninstalling Nvidia!!! [UPDATE]
So basically I uninstalled all Nvidia programs from my computer after reading that my xbox controller wouldn't work in Big Picture mode if Nvidia programs were on my computer. I got to uninstalling the graphics driver and when it had done, my screen went to 800xsomething resolution. I tried to set it back to default in Control Panel but there isn't 1440x900 in the selection! Please help as my Xbox was an early present for my 11th birthday and now I've screwed up my computer.

UPDATE [IMPORTANT]: Alright. So I realised that it's not nvidia I don't think; the X button on it (not the small blue one, the big one) won't stop flashing, and the controller won't appear in Device Manager OR Game Controllers. I am running Windows 7 Home Premium (64 bit) if it helps.

You uninstalled your graphics drivers, which means your computer can't recognize your graphics card and is defaulting to internal graphics. Reinstall your graphics drivers and the problem will go away.

What you had read is wrong, i have all nvidia drivers installed, and i can access big picture just fine..

You must reinstall all drivers that you have removed..

If I reinstall my graphics drivers then I will recieve the bug of being unable to use my Xbox Controller in Big Picture. I haven't tried it after uninstalling because I am frustrated trying to fix my resolution. So, is it that I can't have it either way or what?

If it helps I'm on a Windows 7 Home Premium (sorry for spelling) 64-bit, meaning I might get problems you don't. I am currently using a higher resolution than the 800, but it still isn't good.

Oh and also I tried for myself actually using my controller in Big Picture and it did not work. I installed the Xbox 360 Controller Accessories program and run that and my computer has detected it, so I am experiencing said bug.
Reinstall your drivers. Your computer needs the drivers to be able to use your video card properly.

I'm sorry, but did you just not read what I have posted? If I reinstall the drivers, I will be unable to use my controller, which is one of the reasons I wanted an Xbox so much! Ugh. I apologise if this is offensive; I am from a rough part of Britain meaning I speak my opinion.
I do not know, I don't have an Nvidia graphics card so I've never heard of this problem, but your drivers shouldn't cause any problems.

Well, I actually UNINSTALLED nvidia. Not installed it. So... it shouldn't really matter if you have the graphics card or not. May I ask, what is your screen resolution? Also, I saw a screenshot on the Windows website where they had more than 4 selections on their Resolution drop down list.

My resolution is 1440x900. If your uninstalled your drivers, that means your computer won't be able to use your graphics card. Reinstall them to get your resolutions back.

Well... do you have any graphics cards? I mean, if you have 1440x900, then that would mean you either have a different graphics card or you automatically had that resolution..?
I have an AMD graphics card.

Right. So is AMD installable across the internet? I could get permission to install that because that would solve my problem entirely.
The graphics card is a physical object inside your computer. What you want to install are the drivers.

No, AMD drivers will not work with an Nvidia card. You need to reinstall the Nvidia drivers you uninstalled.
