Cs 1.6 screen resolution too big!

i don't know but my game counter strike 1.6 size has shifted too big that every thing is very large i cant operate it and how to change resolution back to normal

In your library, rightclick CS:GO > choose properties

click 'set launch options'

Choose one of the 2 options. You don't need them both.

• -w 1920 -h 1080
  
  (Sets the resolution.. -w = width , -h = height)
  
  
• -autoconfig
  
  (Reloads the original CFG settings, everything is reverted back to default - including custom binds and video settings)

Remember to delete -autoconfig if you used that one.
Otherwise it keeps reverting back to default.

i went to a different website, someone said to type -w 800 and it worked ;3

Why did you go to a different website to get a solution that's already explained in 1st reply?

You can't setup/test startup commands if the game isn't installed. If this solution doesn't work, THIS resolution fix is NOT the solution to your problem. You should start your own thread and explain your situation. Also, this solution does NOT work for every game. Every VALVE game that runs on source is able to use this fix to fix your resolution problem.

If your problem is something else (Black screen/crashes/whatever), start your own thread and focus on your own problems. Don't try to use fixes that are ment for other problems.

If you still believe you have a resolution problem, consider visiting your <GAME hub> and ask how to change the resolution from outside of the game. Most people have to edit configs to change settings outside of the game.
