i have a key from buying amd video card , i didnt used it in time, now they say its no longer avaible...

is this true? what do i do with the key

If the promo hasn't ended or the key you were provided is one that's actually activated on Steam and not AMD's coupon code to get the Steam key with, it should work.

If you have Sleeping Dogs, you can try to redeem the code on your own account - it shouldn't allow it through and should state you already own the game you're trying to redeem and should therefore prove itself still valid.

You don't, so don't troubleshoot it with your own account. If it's certainly a Sleeping Dogs -key, you can try to give it to someone else.

Another time I wished this was up-to-date and I could've provided you with the CD-key format for the standard edition.
