CD KEY

I bought CS:GO cd key last year from gaming web site in my country , I activated it and played cs till january 2015 when I got restriction from Steam Support , I wrote a Support Ticket and yesterday I got reply from steam support that i need to prove that I own account , so I need to send them csgo cd key and support ticket number , as I always delete my mails (I dont know why) i also deleted mail with cd key from Site where I bought it , so now I can not find my cd key anywhere ? Can somebody help me , is there anyway where I can find my cd key in game or on steam ??

IF it comes out that Valve don't supply shops with cd keys and only provide sales from Steam OR from a retail boxed product, then you will be out of luck.

A lot of retail online 'cheap' shops get keys from places they shouldn't, or even sometimes from retail products sitting in a shop waiting to be sold!

You'll need to deal with Steam Support but be prepared for them to say 'nope!'.

Man there is no other way , I don't have cd key on the paper like on that picture , I only have email with it , only numbers that's all ..

It's still a virtual key, imagine if someone gained access to your e-mail, printed out your CD-key and stated they're the owner of your Steam -account because they have it.

Physical keys aren't stolen virtually like that.

Either way, all of these DOTA 2 players somehow get their accounts back too (possibly because most of them are free accounts), so they'll likely compromise somewhere with you as well. Good luck, not all hope is lost - but the CD-key isn't more sufficient no matter how legit the website was.

Yes , it is possible , but then I ask again : there is no other way to prove it if I have virtual cd key ?! I think that I am not only one who bought virtual cd key for Steam game .. And if support says no , I will do anything they want to prove it

In order to make changes to an account, we require the original CD Key with the ticket number hand written next to it.

We will not accept printed off or hand-written CD Keys, nor will we accept images that have been altered with photo editing software - this is not valid proof of purchase.

We require the original CD Key that was included at the time of purchase.

Without the original CD Key with the ticket number hand written we will not be able to assist further.


As you said it happened , but now I need help , what to do , I only have email with cd key numbers in it , nothing else ..

If a virtual CD key is all you have as proof of ownership, then you're out of luck.

I send them message where i wrote that I only have virtual cd key on my email , and asked them how can I prove my ownership with virtual cd key , hopefully they will read and help me out , not just bot message me with random messages..
