Will GTA V (retail version) be compatible with Steam?

I bought a retail copy of GTA V from Amazon, but now I have been reading some rumors about it won't be compatible with Steam and I wanna know if any of you know something about.
I really want to have my GTA V in Steam.

No, the retail copy will only activate through Social Club (and the possible integration of the GameShield DRM, which the Steam version automatically excludes.)

The only Steamworks -features GTA5 uses is Steam achievements (according to SteamDB -entries) and that is ONLY if you buy the game from the Steam Store; similarly to that of Max Payne 3 and L.A. Noire.
