bought a game pack xcom while having xcom already.

Hello all!

Here is the problem:
1. I have xcom: enemy unknown already
2. I bought xcom: complete pack.

Now i thought if you already own the game, the game you have double 1 will be a gift you can send to others.
But this gift does not appear in the menu.

Can anybody help me with this??

Unless explicitly stated, you won't get extra copies from a pack if you already own a game.

It (if I recall) warns you on the checkout that you already own it, and won't get an extra copy.

In most case you won't get an extra copy this is warned before purchasing, this work with a few Valve titles

Yeah, that's because Steam doesn't care what you think. It has never done that, and it never will (most likely -- it's a core mechanic of these packages that they can't be split up).

If you buy a bundle with a game you already own does it take off the price of the game you already own or do you pay full price for the pack and the game.

It doesn't work that way.
It usually states that if you own one of those games, you won't get an extra copy of it.

Like I had GTA: 4 before buying GTA: Complete pack and I didn't get the extra copy.
