im new so i dont know how to check credits.A help would be appriciated

You mean your Steam wallet funds? If you go to the main store page:

http://store.steampowered.com/

In the top-right corner, next to your avatar and username, is your wallet balance. I don't believe it appears if your wallet is empty.

You can use a credit card, PayPal, a Steam wallet card... there's a few different options. For the most part you want to go here:

http://store.steampowered.com/steamaccount/addfunds

For a Steam wallet card, you want to go here:

http://store.steampowered.com/account/redeemwalletcode
