man i hope you know your VC++ 32/64 build.
or use all-in-one from techpower. ( most ppl are done with MS way and have to do it all themself. ) MS page simple miss a all in one as i understand it.
ps.
i did not say its this but could be, to tell you in 2025 to update your BIOS and chipset driver seem wrong them many today have app that do this for them.
ps.
beware some new gpu card can someday have issue run games not build for win10+ ( also know as game devs issue to upgrade for last so call win10 version MS told us and now we have win11, funny how things goes here.
steam already stopped support for win7/8 and yet we still see steam user have it.
You should know old games some of them dont like unlocked vsync.
this is complex issue and unoffical patch sometime made from fans to fix old games.
Some games may need patches (Mafia 2 requires a 4GB patch, otherwise it crashes; as well as limiting FPS to something below 100FPS in some chapters which would otherwise cause a bug with the police system).
Some games, like Duke Nukem Forever just need V-Sync enabled to work.
Usually a fix for crashes or bugs will be in discussions or guides for the specific game on Steam
