I can't gift DLC to a game to a friend

A friend gifted me a game, then a DLC map for that game. I then bought some more DLC for it, and want to gift that to him as a friend. But when I look up the game, and that particular DLC, the "cart" option is greyed out. I assume that is meant to prevent me buying it again because I already have it. But I want to give it to my friend. He gifted me a DLC that he already had....how can I do that?

It's grayed out because there is something in your cart that you already own and you haven't told the checkout that you are intending to gift it. Look for the drop down menu that says "For my account" and change it to "This is a gift". The blue "Continue to gift options" button will become active for you to continue.

I checked my cart, and it is empty. I even added the base game to my cart to see if that fixed the problem, and it didn't. It will not even ALLOW me to select "Add to my cart" so that I can then say "This is a gift" because I already own it, and have downloaded it. I don't want to uninstall or delete this DLC so that I can purchase it again for my friend.

Please help. I just need to purchase this DLC again and give it to my friend

There must be the ability to gift something you also own, my friend did it for me. Any ideas? Why can't I add this DLC to my cart so I can then ad "this is a gift" and send it to my friend.

The "Ultimate Hunting Bundle" is a so called "tailored" bundle. Meaning the price changes for your account depending on what other content of the game you already own.
Those bundles can NOT be gifted to other accounts, they can only be bought for your own account because of the tailored price.
If you want to gift your friend the DLC it contains you have to find the single DLC (not in a bundle) on the store page of the game and gift him those. They will be more expensive though.

The bundle can't be gifted.

If it's just the DLC you want to gift, then just choose that.

OK. Is it just this bundle that can't be gifted? Because as I said, he has given me so much, the original game plus DLC Region of Emerald Coast. If it is just this particular bundle, I will find another one to give him. Or maybe a few individual DLC's that I was particularly impressed with in this bundle.

It depends on the bundle. If the bundle is a Complete The Set type, then no you can't gift it.
