Question about recovering a Steam account.
I've read in another Steam discussion that providing a Transaction ID and the last 4-digits of my payment method are no longer sufficient for the Steam Support to verify ownership of a Steam account. So, I'm asking what else I can possibly store as recovery backup information in case I somehow lose access to my Steam account?

Provide what is asked for, and work with support if you can't provide it. It sounds like you're trying to guess ahead of time, may not be as productive as you hope.

Just want to prepare myself for emergencies, that's all.

I can understand that. For example, my account is so old I do have concerns about recovery. So, best course for me is an ounce of prevention. Keep that account secure, maintain the credentials in a proper password manager. Dot the i's and cross the t's.

So, that would be my recommendation. Ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.
