STOP Store page loading on every re-open

This has been bothering me for years now and I'm surprised not a whole lot of people seem to complain about it.
Is there a way to prevent Steam from reloading the shop page every time you open Steam from tray? It doesn't bother my that the shop opens, it bothers me that the last page opens and like 2 seconds later you get forwarded to the store page.

Yes. I have it set to open my Library instead.

Settings > Interface > Start Up Location

Are you also talking about whats new popup then you load steam thats a old steam commercial offer, most here have have turn that off a long time ago.

Thats under interface buttom news bulletin info crap.
