Low Disk Usage when downloading games on Steam
Hi. Just want to ask if anyone is having the same issue as me? When I download games on Steam, Disk Usage is usually around 20MBps up to below 10MBps which slows down the Network Speed as well. This is slow compared to it's previous performance wherein I can download at a consistent rate of 50-60MBps since the disk usage is high.

I tried the following solutions that I've found on Steam:
- Disable Write Caching
- Set Steam to High Priority on Task Manager
- Clear Download Cache
- Change Download Region
- Check for malware
- Reformat OS and Data Drive
- Install on a different drive
- Compare performance with my extra laptop which performs well
- Disable throttling on Steam Downloads
- Check Disk Health and Read/Write Speed
- Release/Renew/Flush DNS
- Flush Configuration for Steam

Any other fix that you can suggest? I'm sure that it's not a hardware issue since it's performing well on Epic Games. No issues when playing as well.

Laptop Specs:
Laptop Acer Predator Helios Neo 16
Processor 13th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-13700HX (2.10 GHz)
Installed RAM 16.0 GB
GPU NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 Laptop GPU (8GB)
SSD 1 HFS512GEJ9X125N - NVME
SSD 2 KINGSTON SNV2S1000G - NVME

Thanks in advance!

Are you in battery mode or balance mode , then you want be done with it, that require FULL Perfomasnce, power scematic in windows controll panel matters if you run on lesser power then taht ois what you get.

Also make sure BIOS and Chipset driver is update from Acer support page.

see window sresource manager for performance.

ps.
- Set Steam to High Priority on Task Manager, ( when they made the app and games they do nottamper with this. ( can you even imagena game devs doa OC to whatever nextgen 10.000 whatever ghz, no gamers can maybe get there, so no they do not use OC or set system to high priority

Max Turbo Frequency
5.00 GHz
Intel® Turbo Boost Max Technology 3.0 Frequency ‡
5.00 GHz
Performance-core Max Turbo Frequency
5.00 GHz
Efficient-core Max Turbo Frequency
3.70 GHz

if you dont feed the CPU with what it's build for then you will get low output.

this measn you play with powercord and max settings. ( then you play 3D games and unpacking and installing, or live with it take ages to be done. )

Ask Acer support if that all-in-one product, do not do as it should.

I'm running on High performance for Battery Mode and Turbo on Predator Sense.

For the High Priority on Task Manager, it reverts back anyway when I close the app so it's fine.

Bios and Chipset are both updated. Windows Update are up-to-date.

On Resource Manager, I am not running much on my laptop. I even made the laptop to just run Steam and it's still the same. Disk Usage doesn't pump up when downloading only with Steam.

Just a side note: Sometimes when I change region, it goes up to 50-60MBps in Network and Disk Usage but throttles again after a few mins then maintains a Network and Disk Usage of 10-20MBps. Sometimes lower.

This wasn't the case before. It only started happening last week. I usually get stable 50-60MBps of Download Speed and high Disk Usage before on Steam. Just weird that this suddenly happened. I don't even install that much on this laptop.

We as user are not in controll what ISP doing on the lines, so if the lines from your ISP into steam, is congested, that's a dialog with your ISP you need to have, and you also point out change steam DL fix network speed that's my point then ir most be a local region issue with your ISP and there partners partner.

I've been having similar trouble downloading and updating games and my content_log file keeps saying something about my ISP and it being a corrupt download.
