Can someone please help me with this!
Pretty much I have this micro as card and I have it plugged to my computer and when I open up steam through the taskbar shortcut, it opens like normal. But when I unplug the micro sd card and then try the shortcut again, it just says “The drive or network connection that the shortcut ‘Steam(2).lnk’ refers to is unavailable.” So then I tried unplugging the sd card and wiping every instance of Steam off my computer to start fresh, and when I tried that, I thought it worked until when I tried the taskbar shortcut, it opened a second steam on the taskbar. I didn’t want that so I pinned the one that was open, unpinned the one that wasn’t open and then when I tried that the same error message popped up and now I’m stuck still trying to figure out what to do so this post was my last resort.

To me it sounds like the issue is the shortcut. Go to the folder where Steam is installed and run the executable. If that works then you can pin it or paste a shortcut from it.

I’ve already tried that like 1000 times. It still just comes up with the same error message.

Looks like you have 2 instances of Steam on your system, one on some built-in storage and one on your SD card.

Do you actally need 2 Steam instances? Because if not, ditching one will solve a lot.

How do I delete one of them?

First, you decide which to keep. If I were you, I'd stick with the instance on my internal drive.

Then, you simply delete the Steam folder on that SD card. I mean, you don't have to, you can also simply ignore it but deleting makes it impossible for you to the wrong instance by accident. So simply delete that folder. (If you have games downloaded there, additional steps are needed to keep them but you can also go the easy route and redownload everything after the fact which is simpler.)

Then, unpin all Steam icons you have from the taskbar. Don't worry, we'll create a new one in the next step. Unpin & remove ALL OF THEM. The next step being double-click that Steam.exe in the Steam folder on your internal drive. Then pin that Steam instance and you're done.

You're still using a shortcut. Don't. Please follow my instructions, don't do other stuff.

Please say what you don't understand specifically.
