To improve game latency, disable v-sync as it tends to cause input latency or switch to VRR (which has all the advantages of v-sync and without the downsides) . If it's a mouse-driven game, disable mouse smoothing as it causes input latency. Also, disable mouse acceleration. Unrelated to latency, still ♥♥♥♥.

Specs?
Overall disable mouse acceleration in Windows, if you can try switching between DX11 or DX12, Update drivers, if AMD and the game supports it use Vulkan
Disable V Sync, use DLSS/FSR if needed, dont crank up the graphics to Ultra, use DX11 if possible
OP should chack that BIOS and Chipset driver is actual updated accord to own Support page.

And have you reinstall GPU driver with a clean install.

what game?

and

top left steamclient click
/help/systeminformation
copy all and post it here
hello
anyway , not sur you can see above 30fps unless you're superman ...( and i guess - we can thx the marketing about that - because absolutely none scientist document or studies allready produced told we can ... )
theater movies and consols :
- theater 24 fps
- consol 30 fps
imo this run for the fps is 'absolutely" stupid and surely not efficient in our world

Problem with this post is OP, you can find games that run like crap on old SSD or old HDD.

And you also have game with so many scripts, that even add mod can make game lag or latency as gamers call it.

And we have all seen here how BIOS and chipset driver can effect system performance, and so can windows user setting how the system is setup to respond.

Just because we all think it's a GPU issue, then we have seen steam change drev and now HHD is steam default, and games lag like crap, even seen some U-processor steam user think they have a gamer pc. ( list is long as hell, in worst case senario )
