How to add Steam overlay to EA game?

Specifically, I'm talking about STAR WARS Battlefront II.

I added it to the Steam library, but it didn't help. I launch the game through the library, get the "Stop" status, then EA does some operations, the status changes to "Play" and then the game starts. There is no overlay, of course.

The game launch file is specified correctly, I looked through the task manager to see which file is associated with the game.

Any other ideas?
(In general, I need this mostly because of convenient screenshots and video recording of the game with easy editing. Previously, I did this through OBS, but it is not very convenient.)

This does not help. There is no overlay conflict. I simply cannot launch the game through Steam, because when launching EA carries out some procedures and everything is interrupted.
