Was Gifted a Digital Steam gift card, and is now gone.

I was gifted a digital steam gift card for a birthday present, when I went to the email to accept it, it said it had a problem and to try again later, so I waited and went back to try redeeming it again and now it’s gone and I can’t accept the gift, asked the person who sent it, if by chance I had declined the gift, they said no, they had not received an email saying it was declined. So if it wasn’t declined and wasn’t accepted where did the gift go? And why can’t I accept it and use it?

I’ve been trying to get in contact with Steam support and not the pre made questions because my situation does not apply to ANY of them. So it’s impossible for me to get this fixed.
