no sound at some games

so, the sound won't work at some of my games (resident evil 8, heavy rain, hello neigbour etc.) AT ALL. at first it was only my headphones, but now it doesnt play any sound in general. i tried quite literally everything i could - i updated and tried to change audio drivers, i ran steam and these games as administrator, i verified the files, and many more that was on the internet. NOTHING WORKS!!! could it be something with my pc? although its not the problem for all games, most of them work fine!!!!! some games that dont play sound now could play it perfectly before, by the way, and now they just don't. please help if you know what could be the problem

If it's only some games with no sound and others work fine, it might be a conflict with your system's audio output settings. Try this:

- Right-click the sound icon > Open Sound Settings > make sure the correct output device is selected.

- In the same settings, go to Advanced Sound Options (App Volume and Device Preferences) and check if those specific games are routed to the wrong output.

- Try launching the game after plugging in your headphones.

- Also, disable any third-party audio software or virtual devices temporarily.

i tried it several times, checked all of my settings, still doesn't work. i even updated my audio drivers rn, it's silent as it were lol. i don't understand what's wrong at all because the other games work fine...
