Disk write error/disk write protection
Hi, folks! Two days ago came across with a problem with NVME M2 disk. I installed two games on Steam and then tried to install another one. So, I got the message: disk write error.

I've already tried:
- clear steam cache
- edit registry Storage Policies
- uncheck the box "read-only mode" (spoiler it didn't change)
- prompt cmd commands disk part and clear attributes, etc.
- installed official support program for my disk - MSI Center and checked my disk (result: perfect condition)

What else should I do to get rid of this problem?
I noticed that it's not only about Steam, but also for the entire disk: I can't install anything and I can't delete anything.

Additional info:
- my disk model MSI NVMe M2 SPATIUM M371 1TB
- A week ago I changed my CPU from i3 12100f to i5 13400f and added two memory chips to motherboard. I bought the same models of RAM AMD Radeon R948G3206U2S-U 8 gb. So, I have 4 chips 8 gb (32 in total).
- After installation I tried to turn on XMP profile to switch to 3200 hz, but turned out it's unstable: some games crashed. I went back to 2400 hz.

Hope, that's information is enough to give me advice on my problem. But, anyway, if you need something additional just let me know. Looking forward to your help, guys:)

Check that drev is still added in steam storage mangement or external drev maybe. ?

Old tip, is install steam over current system to fix lost rigths to it's drev
try undrestand disk write protection is a clue as no rights and will trigger Disk write error ofc. ) imo ) and yes i also scrates my head how did that happend. i bet you have not fiddle with any settings or screwup folder settings or full control over drev and user or UAC is turn off or other total crazy ideas like that.

and see from your side you just install 2 games with no issue, as i said this is crazy talk should not happend, and yet it did, have the drev drop change and you start steam and drev is not added anymore,

and repair steam library just in case this is need while you are at steam storage maneger

and make sure Right drev is defult if you have multi drev in that pc.

I'm sure steam suppport might want to know this. i dont say they care, i said look like you did all right + just intsall 2 games and wham bam crash and then nothing and how can whatever crash reset steam right to the drev, i cant see the connection, but it look like there is one, problem is proof it to steam and how will any could reproduce that bug.

Speacial if drev is still in steam storage management then all this look like BS, please contact steam support not a joke, you can find several steam user taht out of the blue got semi same case and they might have no been as detail as you did. with a steam crash that could have done something to steam. atleast that something.
