Error Code: 108- VCRedistMissing

Hi everyone,



I’m getting the following error when trying to launch a game through Steam:



Error Code: 108 – VCRedistMissing

The required Visual C++ Redistributable wasn’t found on my system.

Please download and install it from:

https://aka.ms/vs/16/release/vc_redist.x64.exe



So far, I’ve already installed the following versions:



Visual C++ 2013 (x64)
Visual C++ 2013 (x86)
Visual C++ 2015–2022 (x64)
Visual C++ 2015–2022 (x86)




However, the error still appears.

Should I also install older versions like 2010 or 2008?

I’d really appreciate any advice!

Note did you do some wonkiness with teh steamworks shared folder. All the redists are normally stored there and are dynamic depending on what games you have installed

What game are you having this particular issue with?
