If this about compression of image, can change that in steam settings.
If you're asking how to upload screenshots on steam itself what you wanted to use from Nvidia app, just take screenshot using steam overlay, then replace the screenshot with your screenshot you wanted to upload, make sure copy & paste name, then can upload screenshot.
First...
* Figure out where your Nvidia screenshot is and copy it to the desktop.
Now...
* Launch the game and take a screenshot with Steam (not Nvidia).
* Close the game.
* Click View > Recordings & Screenshots
* Right click the screenshot you just took, and select "Show on Disk".
* File Explorer will open.
* Right click the screenshot file and select rename, then press ctrl+c to copy the filename to the clipboard.
* Right click your Nvidia screenshot on the desktop, select rename, then press ctrl+v to give it the same filename as your Steam screenshot.
* Now copy the Nvidia screenshot into the Steam game's screenshot folder (which should still be open in File Explorer).
* It will ask you if you want to overwrite it. Say yes.
Finally...
* Restart Steam.
When you open View > Recordings & Screenshots again, your Nvidia screenshot should be there, allowing you to click "Share" and upload it.
