Steam overlay has been crashing for the past 2 weeks

This seemingly just started. I'll be looking something up or chatting using the overlay and, when I press the X to go back to the game, it crashes everything and I have to hard boot my PC to get back.

Is this happening to anyone else?

Yeah, this happened to me two days ago. I was playing CS2, opened a profile from the overlay, and had a hard crash. Since it only happened once, I didn’t think much of it. But then it happened again with another game... I opened the overlay to check the forum and it crashed. There’s definitely something wrong.
