My Nintendo switch PDP controller briefly connects to my pc then instantly disconnects due to steam
I have been having this problem where anytime I try to connect my switch pro controller to my pc, wired or bluetooth, both work and register the controller but whenever I launch steam, it will instantly disconnect

The only problem I have seen is that when I try to connect the controller without steam open, it won't show any response and the lights will keep flashing as they do when searching for a switch normally, although when I check on windows settings and through windows game controllers, it does show it works and responds. When I use 3rd party softwares (betterjoy and cemu) the controller does show up and is recognised

Now, when I launch steam, regardless of if its wirelessly, wired, using a 3rd party to make it be recognised as an xbox controller, steam just disconnects the controller. I toggled every controller setting combination possible and disabled steam and windows turning off a controller to save energy, I also went into device manager and disabled any possible bluetooth and wired device which wasn't the controller (even hidden ones, although when i did go on device manager, several instances called 'HID-compliant consumer control device' or something along those lines pop up under Human Interface Device, around 10-15, more with the hidden ones).

I genuinely have no clue why the controller will refuse to connect other than its just a nintendo thing and they did their best to make it impossible to cooperate with steam (yes it is a 1st party nintendo pro controller before someone asks if its a 3rd party controller). I kinda have given up completely and will cave and buy a playstation/xbox controller to use instead for steam because I can't go on with these shenanigans anymore
